There will be 12 McDonald's Restaurants in Georgia
There will soon be 12 McDonald's restaurants in Georgia. According to Tengiz Kapanadze, General Director of the restaurants, the profit of McDonald's has significantly risen relative to the last few years.
McDonald's has been one of the most popular and profitable restaurant chains in the world since 1940.
According to official data, McDonald's restaurants are found in 119 countries and territories around the world and serve nearly 47 million customers each day. McDonald's operates over 31,000 restaurants worldwide, employing more than 1.5 million people.
The world's largest hamburger chain says sales rose across all its markets as more customers visited its restaurants.
U.S. comparable sales rose 3.8% in April as McDonald's remains a relevant and affordable choice for consumers. Sales rose 5.3% up in Europe, 3.9% up in Asia/Pacific, in the Middle East and in Africa.
According to Tengiz Kapanadze, the General Director of McDonald's in Georgia, the chain of restaurants are much more profitable than in the last years.
The annual turnover of McDonald's has increased from 15,000,000 to 17,000,000 over the last few years.
"One of the most popular items on the menu at Mac- Donald's is the cheeseburger. 69,048 cheeseburgers were sold in April, over 30 days. Hamburgers and Big Macs are very popular as well. 49,719 hamburgers were sold and 32,360 Big Macs in April, over the 30 days," Kapanadze noted.
The first restaurant of MacDonald's in Georgia was opened on Dzmebi Kakabadzeebi in 1999. Nowadays there are three branches
of the restaurant in Tbilisi. Because of its popularity, there is a plan to open more restaurants of McDonald's.
According to Temur Chkonia, the employer of McDonald's in Georgia, the popularity of the restaurant is conditioned by its high quality, good culture of service and speed.
"McDonald's is one of the most popular brands in the world. People like the cult created around these restaurants," Chkonia said.
"Very soon there will be 12 McDonald's restaurants in Georgia. Our aim is to open new branches in every big city in the country. New, different restaurants of European design will be opened in Kutaisi in June. The next one will be opened in Tbilisi, in the Didube district. Later we plan to open restaurants in Rustavi, Batumi, Telavi and in Marneuli as well. Several hundred people will be employed in the new McDonald's restaurants," Chkonia noted.
