| Tbilisi will host the 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival after the European Olympic Committee (EOC) general assembly took a respective decision on November 27. Besides Tbilisi, a Czech town of Brno also pretended for hosting the festival in 2015.
A total of 49 delegates voted in a secret ballot to determine the place of the 2015 Youth Olympic Festival, of which 36 delegates voted for Tbilisi.
Georgia has showed a full readiness to host the youth Olympic festival.
The European Olympic Committee general assembly met in Belgrade, Serbia. The Georgian delegation was represented by high-ranking officials of the national Olympic committee and Georgian Olympic champions, as well as artists, who staged a 10-minute show program at the assembly.
Duet Georgia has also recorded a special song for the coming youth festival. |
