NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, met with President Saakashvili in New York on September 22 and “discussed the internal situation in Georgia,” according to NATO press office.

“With Secretary General reiterating NATO's commitment to Georgia's territorial integrity, but also noting that all parties should refrain from violence and from responding to provocation,” it said.
